We belong in the community of Christ

I heard a very good distinction between a mob and a community from Professor Nemeskürty István.

He said, when a group spontaneously discovers the leader, the point of perspective in the simplest, most primitive person with least IQ, then that group decreases to a mob.

In turn when a group spontaneously considers the leader, the point of perspective in the most intelligent individual, that group refines to be a community.

For me the community experience arises from the fact that I am part of a group, whose members find the point of perspective in Christ.

The Christian community, Community of Christ, provides a true community experience. It also provides the opportunity in spite of all our unworthiness and limitations, to not radiate these towards the outside world but his greatness, love, holiness, and his goodness.

And this also is our duty.

Being part of a community always comes with a sense of responsibility, this is why the church, Community of Christ, considers it its duty to take responsibility outwards, in the service of society.

We get this done in the fields of public education, social affairs, higher education, culture, and in child and youth protection.

The task here is always the same for us, in addition to professionalism, is to teach, to educate the person to belong to a community. Not to be part of a mob, because it is a much better feeling, more worthy of a human, if we feel as a part of a community, live as one, than withering away as part of a mob.
